About Good Men Trying
Good Men Trying is more than a podcast. It's a movement — built on the belief that men grow best when they're challenged to reflect, respond, and reshape the narratives they've inherited.
What We Do
Good Men Trying brings emotionally intelligent conversations to men who are ready to do the work. Through the podcast, our research platform Good Men Listening, and a growing community of men actively engaged in their own growth — we're building something that goes far beyond a weekly episode.
We exist to transform growth from something internal into something shared — because the most powerful changes happen when men stop carrying everything alone.
We envision a future where men don't just listen — they engage, speak, and strengthen the communities around them. Where emotional intelligence isn't weakness, it's the standard.
What We Stand For
We say the things that don't get said. No performance, no polish — just real men talking about real life.
Strength isn't silence. We believe the most powerful men are the ones who can name what they feel and act on it with intention.
Growth is shared. We're building a space where men challenge each other, hold each other accountable, and show up for each other.
Every man starts somewhere. We meet men where they are — not where we think they should be.
We don't chase perfect. We choose presence — in our relationships, our fatherhood, our friendships, and our work.
Awareness is the start, not the finish. GMT is for men who are ready to move from knowing to doing.
How It Started
Good Men Trying started with a simple conviction — that men need better conversations. Not advice columns, not self-help formulas, but real talk between real men about what it actually feels like to navigate fatherhood, friendship, identity, and purpose in today's world.
What began as a podcast became something larger: a research platform where men reflect anonymously on their lived experiences, a community where those reflections shape the conversations we have next, and a growing movement of men who believe that showing up honestly is the most powerful thing they can do.
We're just getting started. And every man who reflects, responds, or listens is part of building what comes next.
